Professional Deicing — Prevent Ice Before It Forms
Snow is visible and obvious. Ice is invisible and dangerous. A thin layer of black ice on a driveway or walkway is responsible for far more injuries and liability claims than deep snow — and it takes far less to form.
Our deicing service uses the right product for the right conditions — pre-treating before storms to prevent bonding, and treating after clearing to stop overnight refreezing. The result is safer surfaces with less product use overall.
Rock Salt Application
Standard sodium chloride application for effective ice melting on driveways, parking lots, and general paved surfaces in moderate temperatures.
Calcium Chloride Treatment
Fast-acting calcium chloride for rapid ice melt in very cold temperatures (-25°F and below) where standard rock salt loses effectiveness.
Magnesium Chloride
A gentler, more environmentally conscious deicing agent that's less corrosive to concrete and metal and safer for pets and vegetation.
Pre-Treatment Anti-Icing
Applying liquid or granular deicers before a storm to prevent ice from bonding to surfaces — greatly reducing the amount needed afterward.
Sand and Traction Agents
Applying sand or traction-enhancing agents to icy surfaces to improve footing safety immediately when temperatures are too low for chemical melting.
Post-Removal Deicing
Applying deicing materials after snow clearing to prevent re-freeze of residual moisture and surface meltwater overnight.
What's Included
- Surface assessment and product selection
- Pre-storm anti-icing treatment (optional)
- Post-clearing deicing application
- Rock salt, calcium chloride, or magnesium chloride
- Sand or traction agent application where needed
- Walkways, stairs, and entrance deicing
- Parking lot and driveway treatment
- Multiple return visits during extended storms
Anti-Icing vs. De-Icing
Anti-icing (pre-treatment before the storm) is the most effective approach — applying deicing agents before the storm prevents ice from bonding to the pavement in the first place, requiring 25–75% less product than reactive treatment after the fact.
We combine both approaches for maximum effectiveness — pre-treating before significant events and treating again after clearing to prevent overnight refreeze.
